2016 is the first year in, I don't know, ever? That I have no solid plans. I no longer have school obligations and I have no scheduled trips. Nothing! It's weird! And though I highly doubt 2016 will have quite the long distance traveling that 2015 did, I still intend on doing my fare share of travel. Who knows what 2016 will hold, but these are a few realistic, and some possibly a little less realistic trips that I hope to pencil into this year!
1. Waco, Texas.
Why? Because Magnolia Market, THAT's why! And because maybe by traveling there Josh and I will find dream jobs and Chip and Joanna can "fixer upper" a house for us! Also, the Gaines's have become, like, my heroes so, ya know I need them to sign a piece of barn wood for me.
2. Somewhere in Colorado
Colorado is one of my favorite states, and it's one of those places that is close enough that we just need to go there every couple of years and get close to nature, or something like that. Maybe a ski trip. I haven't been in so long and Josh has NEVER been, and so I am all about showing him up at a sport for once in our lives.
3. San Antonio, Texas
Possibly the closest thing to Venice I can get with the river walk and all (bahaha!). But really, my aunt and uncle used to live close and I think it is such a fun place to visit. While I'm still not sure how I feel about Sea World, there is lots more to do there and Josh and I have decided to prioritize it.
4. Tuscaloosa, Alabama
Never a destination I thought would be on my list, but my dear sister-in-law lives there and she loves the place, so it must be great right? I hear they have excellent barbecue.
5. Tokyo, Japan
Hey, you never know! I don't expect to fulfill this one, but I definitely didn't expect to fulfill my Italy travels in 2015! Maybe we will get really rich all of the sudden!
I'm not sure why, I'm not usually into the whole resolution, new year new you thing, but for some reason I'm feeling extra excited about this year. It is funny how quickly things can change when you look back at past years and I'm so curious to see where I am at this time in 2017.
