This week has been oh so busy, and next week I anticipate to be just as, if not more busy. Therefore, I took comfort in binge watching The Great British Baking Show on Netflix on the few days I had off. There's something slightly satisfying about watching people struggle and hurry around making beautiful food while you're in your pajamas eating a can of pringles.
One thing I love about the show is the atmosphere. The bakers gather in a tented pavilion in the middle of a lovely green garden and create their pasties in a sweet (literally) pastel kitchen. Pastels seem to be all the radge lately, I mean how many mint and coral themed weddings have we seen? And I love it. I'm not a huge pink girl, but I do love the various mints and seafoams and keep finding myself buying more and more items in those tones.
As I continue to grow my kitchen inventory, I've been oggling more pastels and whites. The following are some products I come across during my online window shopping addiction spells that I love!
Having a Kitchenaid mixer seems to mean you're a really serious baker. I don't think I've gotten there yet, so I'm good with my plain walmart mixer. Someday I hope to earn myself one of those beauties.
I currently own one of these handheld blenders and I LOVE it! Half of the time when I'm wanting to blend something I decided against it knowing I will have to wash all of the parts. This mixer fits easily in a drawer and requires only washing the bottom part of it. Easy AND cute!
The Big Chill refrigerators (and all of the other appliances) are such a dream. But an expensive dream. Once again, I think I will have to earn those babies. Probably when I'm retired.
I also own this dancing teapot, sugar pot, and creamer set and I love them! Be our guest, anyone? I will give you a hint on some of these products. If you are patient, most of these will come up at some point or another on sale websites like Joss & Main or Zulily. If you miss the sale or don't want to wait, you can find most anything on Wayfair. This teapot set is a prime example of patience. They are for sale on Wayfair for about $60 and I bought them for around $25 on Joss & Main. All about the waiting game my friend!
Don't these colors just excite you for Easter? I am usually more drawn to bold, darker colors, but I don't know, I'm loving the calm and airy feel that these pastels bring to a room. I probably couldn't commit to a complete pastel room, but perhaps I'm slowely converting. I have started following this blogger at Livesweetblog.com and she is a complete master of the pastel look. I feel like her house is always ready for impromptu tea parties and cotton candy eating. Check her blog out for more perfectly pastel rooms.
